About Moi

I was born in June 1981, I'm a hearing impaired paper-crafter who loves all things crafty. I sew, although I'm still very much a novice at sewing. I bake and cook hopefully all kinds of delicious treats. I have a huge passion for photography and the camera {yes I'm old school I still use an actual camera} is never far from me. I also love creative writing from making up sentiments/verses for my cards and other paper-craft projects to penning some fiction. I am an avid reader and if you are very unlucky I may even throw in some book reviews on here too!

Merry Christmas ... and Christmas Baking

I would like to wish anyone who reads this a MERRY CHRISTMAS and if you want some company even, via facebook messenger I'm available and happy to chat between any festivities that happen tomorrow.

I'd also like to share some festive baking with you.  I've made a Buche de Noel using Mary Berry's Swiss role recipe, some home made Victoria Plum Jam and Dairy Free Chocolate.

Of course Cookies are needed for Santa and this year we have a choice:  Gingerbread stockings with lemon Icing or Dairy Free Chocolate Chunk Cookies:

There is also some baby pink meringue kisses {cream is optional and can be found in the fridge inside three containers so it doesn't contaminate my dairy free options}

Baked Christmas Goodies

I've longed to give baked goodies for Christmas for quite some time I am just hoping that Royal Mail hasn't let me down and delivers it both in time and in one piece.

I made Hokey Pokey or Honeycomb using Golden Syrup, Bicarb and Caster Sugar and Frangipan Mince Pies.

Christmas Photo Inspiration

It is photo inspiration this time around at Ike's Art Challenges and I've created this table center piece completely from card.  I've used Ike's  Poinsettia and Bauble images.

I have to confess I adore this theme and the inspiration {don't forget to pop over check the photo and join in the challenge}.  I've also made an amazing friend a very unique Christmas Card.  She got married this summer and I use the same image I used on her wedding card {THANK YOU IKE} as the tree topper.  She is also a cat lover so I was over the moon when I heard Ike had a Cat Christmas tree.

I've also made another good friend a 12 days of CREEPmas advent Calendar.  I enjoyed it but I WILL remember never ever cut hundreds of layered poinsettias ever again even with a die cut machine!

A home made Christmas

Where possible I like to go with homemade and this year called for a smaller tree.  I say smaller but it used even more lights than the bigger one if that's even possible?  Anyway I've made lots of beaded decorations, some have been shown on here before but here are the rest.  I think my favourite are the bells.

This is how they look on the tree.

I've finally finished sewing the scandi stocking bunting advent calendar too:

I've been baking too and made some melted snowmen biscuits for this weeks Christmas Treat.
